You need a German address to register with their services.
In the beginning, they also supported text messages.
As of 10-2025, they have stopped the text messages:
Hello,
We would like to inform you that we have invested a lot of time and resources in the alpha and beta phases of the SMS feature. However, after careful consideration, we have decided that the SMS feature will not make it into the final version of the Satellite app.
Therefore, the SMS feature will not be further developed. Instead, we are now focusing more on other features and improvements that we believe will be of greater benefit to our users.
We thank you for your understanding and continued support.
